maine coon cat scrappy
Coonskau Houston Astro (a.k.a Scrappy) was our third Maine Coon and our second breeding female.
She was mated at Budletts with Prince, a TICA Double Grand Champion. Her kittens were born on 30th September.
Many thanks to Terry and Barry Lyons of Budletts for their hospitality and their friendship and help over the years. Basher (our first Maine Coon) came from Budletts in 2004.
Scrappy is probably John's favourite out of the three females due to her incredibly friendly nature. She is not scared of anything and will happily chase the hoover around the floor. She loves the hairdryer and always insists on a blow dry - even if she is not wet.
We named her Scrappy on account of how scrappy she was when we first got her. She looked like a little punk and seemed to have too much spiky fur for her body.
The picture of her below shows her very long tail to good effect. Basher and Scrappy spent hours out in the snow hunting and "killing" each other. Luckily for us each time they got hunted and killed they managed to get up, run away and start all over again.
